Find and understand sites
Read a property page
Understand availability, City readiness, images, documents and related records for a site.
Availability and the status block
The header of every property page shows two separate things:
- Availability: whether the site is available, under negotiation, not currently available, or not provided.
- City readiness: the City's own designation, described below.
They are recorded independently. An available site may have no readiness designation, and a shovel-ready site may be under negotiation. The section links under the header jump to each part of the page and stay visible as you scroll.
Being listed does not mean a property is for sale, publicly owned or approved for development unless the page says so.
City readiness and outstanding items
The readiness section lists the components the City tracks, grouped as utilities, entitlements, environmental, access and other, each with a status: complete, partial, not complete, unknown or not applicable. Items that are not complete are shown as outstanding, with the date the record was last reviewed.
The designation is set by City staff. It is never calculated automatically from these components. See Status labels for what each designation means.
Images and documents
Use the previous, next and thumbnail buttons to move through the gallery. Under each image you'll see its type and attribution. Most images are illustrative or location previews; only images marked as a verified site photo have been confirmed by staff to show the site. See Image classifications.
Documents the City has made public are listed in their own section and open in your browser. Documents marked internal are not shown or served to the public.
Contact the assigned broker
When a City-approved broker is assigned to the property, the page shows their contact and an inquiry form. No account is needed. After sending you'll see a reference number; the broker replies from their workspace. See Work with assigned properties and inquiries.
