Curate featured sites, collections and the showcase
Decide which sites appear on the homepage and in collections, and prepare the event showcase.
Before you start
A City staff account. Some steps need an administrator, as noted.
Feature a site on the homepage
- Open the property and go to Publishing and curation.
- Turn on Feature on the homepage.
- Use Move earlier and Move later in Featured opportunities to set the order. There is no dragging.
Up to six featured sites appear on the homepage, in this order. Check the Public card preview to see how the card will look, and make sure two featured sites don't share a primary image.
Collections
Under Collections, add the property to an existing collection or create one with New collection title. A published collection appears on the homepage as its own section, showing only published properties.
The event showcase
Turn on Suitable for the event showcase for properties to show at events. The public showcase offers paths to development sites and public investment, the chosen properties, and Take this with you with a link visitors can copy.
Restart showcase clears only the property comparison on that device. It doesn't sign anyone out or change language, follows or staff settings; if someone is signed in, the page says so.
Note: The QR code appears only when the deployment has an approved public https address configured, and Ask the City a question only when it points at a published opportunity. Otherwise those parts are hidden, and signed-in staff see a configuration notice.
