For City staff

Create and locate a property

Start a private property draft from an address, a point on the map or coordinates.

Before you start

A City staff account. Some steps need an administrator, as noted.

Open the creation page

In the Staff workspace, open Properties and choose Add property. The creation page opens at its own address, so you can bookmark it or return to it after a reload. Everything you create here starts as a private draft and stays off the public site.

Choose and confirm a location

  1. Search an address, or click the map and drag the point.
  2. On a phone, or without map gestures, use the Search and details view or Advanced: enter coordinates.
  3. Confirm the location. The workspace records how it was identified: an address result, a point placed on the map, or coordinates entered by staff.

A point marks a position. It is not a parcel boundary. Parcel identifiers are recorded as staff enter them under Location and parcel; SRR does not look them up in a parcel database.

Save a draft without a location

Enter a working name and choose Create draft without a location. The draft is stored with no coordinates, not an invented point. It can't be published until a location is confirmed.

Duplicate check

Before creating, the page lists existing properties with a similar name or a nearby location. Open one instead if it is the same site.
